Common Questions
How do I capture a voice note?
Open Voiq, press and hold the large microphone button on the Home screen, speak naturally, then release. The Review screen will show your transcript and the AI-classified intent (task, reminder, note, idea, list, event, or follow-up). Tap Save to add it to your timeline.
How do I cancel my Voiq Pro subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by Voiq. To cancel:
- Open the iOS Settings app.
- Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
- Select Voiq Pro, then Cancel Subscription.
You'll keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period. Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription.
How do I restore a previous purchase?
On the Voiq Pro upgrade screen, tap Restore purchases at the bottom. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID that originally made the purchase.

How is my data handled?
Your captures and transcripts are stored locally on your device. Audio is sent to our processing service for transcription and is not retained beyond what's needed to return the transcript. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Microphone permission
Voiq requires microphone access to record your spoken thoughts. You can grant or revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings → Voiq → Microphone.
The app crashed or feels slow — what should I do?
- Force-quit Voiq and reopen it.
- Check that you're on the latest version (App Store → your profile → scroll to find Voiq).
- If the problem persists, email support@voiq.app with details.
Refund requests
App Store purchases are processed by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple ID used for the purchase.
Accessibility
Voiq supports VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, and dark mode. If you encounter an accessibility issue, please email us — accessibility fixes are prioritized.
